Preexponential factor
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008124
A constant in the Arrhenius equation that represents the frequency of collisions between reactant molecules with the correct orientation for a reaction to occur. It is also known as the frequency factor. This factor is specific to each chemical reaction and is expressed in units of s⁻¹ for first-order reactions.
