Arrhenius equation
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003635
A formula giving the temperature dependence of a reaction rate constant, in which the rate constant equals a pre-exponential factor multiplied by the exponential of minus the activation energy divided by the product of the gas constant and absolute temperature. Rates therefore rise exponentially with temperature. Atmospheric chemistry models use it to adjust reaction rates for the temperature changes found with altitude and season.
