Radar storm detection
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010702
The process of identifying and tracking atmospheric disturbances, such as thunderstorms and precipitation areas, using radar technology. This involves analyzing the reflected microwave signals to determine the location, intensity, and movement of weather phenomena. Doppler radar systems also provide information on the wind velocity within storms.
