Radiative-convective model
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010705
A simplified atmospheric model that calculates the vertical temperature profile of the atmosphere by balancing radiative transfer with convective heat transport. These models typically assume a horizontally uniform atmosphere and focus on the vertical distribution of temperature and radiative fluxes. They are used to study the effects of greenhouse gases and aerosols on climate.
