Radiosonde observation

The process of launching a radiosonde and collecting the atmospheric data it transmits during its ascent. This involves tracking the balloon, receiving radio signals, and processing the transmitted measurements of pressure, temperature, humidity, and wind. These observations are performed globally at designated stations, usually twice daily.
