Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008495

The statistical process of estimating the relationships among variables, particularly to determine how a dependent variable changes as one or more independent variables are varied. In atmospheric science, this method is frequently employed to develop statistical forecast models or to analyze the correlation between climate indices and regional weather patterns.
