Regression coefficient
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008496
A numerical value that quantifies the change in the dependent variable for a one-unit change in an independent variable, assuming all other independent variables are held constant. In meteorological regression models, these coefficients indicate the strength and direction of the relationship between atmospheric parameters. For example, a positive coefficient for temperature might indicate increased precipitation.
