Regression coefficient
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003088
A numerical value that quantifies the strength and direction of the relationship between a dependent variable and one or more independent variables in a regression analysis. It indicates the change in the dependent variable for a one-unit change in the independent variable. In reservoir characterization, these coefficients are used to establish empirical relationships between well log responses and reservoir properties.
