Variable-density log
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-004012
A type of acoustic log presentation that displays the amplitude and waveform of the received sonic signal as a grayscale or color image. It provides a visual representation of the formation's acoustic impedance and can highlight features like fractures, gas zones, and cement bond quality. This log is often used in conjunction with other acoustic measurements.
