Acoustic impedance section

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000042

A seismic display derived from seismic reflection data, showing variations in acoustic impedance within the subsurface. This section is created by inverting seismic traces, converting reflection amplitudes into impedance values. It provides a more direct representation of rock properties than conventional seismic sections, aiding in lithology and fluid discrimination.
