Cokriging
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000743
A geostatistical interpolation technique that estimates the value of a primary variable at unsampled locations by also using data from one or more secondary, correlated variables. This method improves estimation accuracy, especially when the primary variable is sparsely sampled but the secondary variable is more abundant. For example, it can estimate porosity using seismic impedance data.
