Cement bond log
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000609
An acoustic well log that evaluates the quality of the cement bond between the casing and the formation, and between the casing and the cement itself. It measures the amplitude of an acoustic signal transmitted through the casing and cement. A good bond is indicated by low amplitude, while high amplitude suggests poor bonding or channeling.
