Cement dispersant
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000610
A chemical additive used in cement slurries to reduce their viscosity and improve their flow properties. Dispersants, also known as friction reducers, allow for lower pumping pressures and better displacement efficiency, especially in narrow annular spaces. They work by reducing the attractive forces between cement particles.
