Linear alphaolefin

A synthetic hydrocarbon compound used as a base fluid in non-aqueous drilling fluids, particularly in synthetic-based muds. It provides good lubricity, thermal stability, and environmental performance compared to traditional oil-based fluids. Linear alphaolefins are characterized by a double bond at the end of a straight carbon chain.
