Bond number
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000399
A dimensionless quantity representing the ratio of gravitational forces to surface tension forces. It indicates the relative influence of gravity on the shape of a fluid interface, such as a gas-liquid or liquid-liquid interface in porous media. A high Bond number suggests that gravitational forces dominate, leading to deformation of the interface.
