Multiple regression
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002485
A statistical technique used to model the relationship between a dependent variable and two or more independent variables. In reservoir characterization, it can be applied to predict reservoir properties, such as permeability, from multiple well log measurements like porosity, gamma ray, and resistivity. The method establishes a linear equation to quantify these relationships.
