Significance test

A statistical method used to determine if an observed difference or relationship between datasets is likely due to chance or represents a true effect. It involves formulating a null hypothesis and calculating a p-value to assess the probability of obtaining the observed results if the null hypothesis were true. Common significance levels include 0.05 or 0.01.
