Acceptance region

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010343

The range of values for a test statistic in a hypothesis test that leads to the conclusion that the null hypothesis should not be rejected. This region is determined by the chosen significance level and the distribution of the test statistic under the null hypothesis. If the calculated test statistic falls within this region, there is insufficient evidence to reject the null hypothesis.
