Stagnation pressure
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009183
The pressure that a fluid would attain if it were brought to rest isentropically (without heat transfer or friction). It represents the sum of the static pressure and the dynamic pressure of the moving fluid. In meteorology, this concept is relevant in understanding the forces exerted by wind on objects, particularly in high-speed flows.
