Static pressure
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009216
The pressure exerted by a fluid at rest, or the pressure measured by a sensor moving with the fluid such that the fluid's bulk motion does not contribute to the measurement. In meteorology, it is the atmospheric pressure at a given point, independent of any air movement. This is the pressure typically reported by barometers at weather stations.
