Tehuano

A strong, cold, and dry northerly wind that blows across the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in southern Mexico, particularly during the winter months. This wind is a gap wind, channeled through a low-lying pass between mountain ranges, and can extend far into the Pacific Ocean. It is often associated with cold air outbreaks from North America.
