Tropopause wave
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009817
A wave-like disturbance that propagates along the tropopause, often associated with atmospheric gravity waves or Rossby waves. These waves can influence the vertical structure of the atmosphere and contribute to the generation of clear-air turbulence. They represent oscillations in the height and temperature of the tropopause.
