Venturi tube
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009986
A device used to measure the flow rate of a fluid, consisting of a pipe with a constricted throat section. The pressure difference between the unconstricted pipe and the throat, measured by manometers, is used to calculate the fluid's velocity based on the Venturi effect. This instrument is often employed in anemometers to determine wind speed.
