Washoe zephyr

A strong, dry, and often dusty wind that blows from the west across the Sierra Nevada mountains into the Washoe Valley of Nevada. This wind is a type of foehn wind, resulting from air descending the leeward side of the mountains, warming adiabatically and drying out. It is particularly common during the spring and summer months.
