Weibull plotting position
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010195
A method for estimating the cumulative probability of an ordered data point when fitting a Weibull distribution to a dataset. It assigns a probability to each observation based on its rank within the sorted data. This technique is commonly used in hydrological and meteorological frequency analyses to estimate return periods of extreme events.
