Weight barograph
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010197
A self-recording aneroid barometer that uses a system of weights to amplify the small movements of the aneroid capsule caused by changes in atmospheric pressure. The movement is transmitted through a lever system to a pen that traces a continuous record of pressure on a chart mounted on a rotating drum. This mechanical design provides a graphical representation of pressure trends over a specific period, such as a day or a week.
