Photographic barograph
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007914
A type of barograph that records atmospheric pressure variations by using a light beam to trace a continuous line onto a moving photographic film or paper. A pressure-sensitive element, such as an aneroid capsule, controls the position of the light beam, which then exposes the photographic medium. This method provides a permanent and detailed visual record of pressure changes over time, offering high resolution for meteorological analysis.
