Carryover
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000552
The undesirable entrainment of liquid droplets or solid particles from one processing stage into a subsequent stage, often occurring in separators, scrubbers, or distillation columns. This phenomenon can reduce the efficiency of downstream equipment, contaminate products, or cause operational problems. Effective mist eliminators or demisters are installed to minimize liquid carryover in gas streams.
