Slugging
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003465
The intermittent flow of liquid and gas in a pipeline, often occurring in multiphase flow systems. This phenomenon can cause pressure fluctuations and operational instability, particularly in long pipelines or those with varying elevations. Slugging can lead to reduced production efficiency and potential damage to equipment if not managed properly.
