Mist drilling

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002391

A drilling technique that uses a mixture of air or gas and a small amount of water or foaming agent as the circulating fluid. This method is employed in formations where conventional mud drilling would cause formation damage or lost circulation. The mist effectively lifts cuttings from the wellbore while maintaining a low hydrostatic pressure, typically used in hard, dry formations.
