Closing unit

A hydraulic power system that provides the necessary pressure and volume to operate the blowout preventers (BOPs) on a drilling rig. This unit consists of accumulators, pumps, and control manifolds to rapidly close the BOP rams or annular preventer in an emergency. Accumulator bottles store hydraulic fluid under pressure, typically at 3,000 psi, to provide immediate response.
