Condensate liquids

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000801

Hydrocarbon liquids that condense from a gas phase as pressure and temperature decrease during production from a gas condensate reservoir. These liquids are composed primarily of pentanes and heavier hydrocarbons (C5+), appearing as a clear, colorless to light-yellow fluid at surface conditions. Condensate liquids have a higher API gravity than crude oil, often exceeding 45 degrees API.
