Correlogram

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000865

A graphical representation of the autocorrelation function, showing the correlation of a time series or spatial data set with a lagged version of itself. In geostatistics, it illustrates the spatial continuity or variability of reservoir properties, such as porosity or permeability, as a function of distance and direction. The range and sill derived from a correlogram are used in variogram modeling for kriging.
