Deviated hole

A wellbore that intentionally departs from a vertical path to reach a target reservoir located away from the surface drilling location. This trajectory allows access to hydrocarbon accumulations that are otherwise inaccessible due to surface obstructions or geological features. The deviation angle is measured from the vertical and can range from a few degrees to nearly horizontal.
