Drillpipe conveyed
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001192
A method of deploying logging tools into a wellbore by attaching them to the end of the drill string instead of using a wireline cable. This technique is used in highly deviated or horizontal wells where gravity is insufficient to pull wireline tools to the bottom. After reaching the target depth, logs are recorded as the drillpipe is pulled out of the hole, a process known as tripping out.
