Reversing out

The process of circulating drilling fluid down the annulus and up through the drill pipe to remove cuttings or other debris from the wellbore. This technique is employed when normal circulation is insufficient or when a specific fluid needs to be retrieved from the bottom of the hole. It is often used to clean out the well before pulling the drill string.
