Tubing-conveyed perforating (TCP)
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003945
A perforating method where the gun string is attached to the bottom of the production tubing and run into the well. This allows for the use of larger diameter guns and the ability to perforate underbalanced conditions, which can improve well cleanup. TCP is often preferred for high-volume wells or when precise depth control is needed.
