Funnel viscosity
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001597
A simple, empirical measure of the flow properties of a drilling fluid, determined by the time it takes for a specific volume of mud to flow through a Marsh funnel. This value provides a quick indication of the fluid's consistency and is expressed in seconds per quart. It is a routine field test for mud quality control.
