Horizontal tree
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001858
A tree configuration, mostly used subsea, in which the tubing hanger lands inside the tree body and the production and annulus valves sit on lateral outlets, instead of being stacked vertically above the hanger. Because nothing blocks the vertical bore, the tubing can be pulled for a workover without removing the tree. This contrasts with a conventional vertical tree, where the tree must be lifted off first.
