Hybrid scale
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001884
A track scale on a log that is partly linear and partly nonlinear, so a single trace can cover both small and very large values, such as resistivity running from 0 to 100 ohm-m on a linear section and then compressing toward infinity. It was first used on the LL3 laterolog, and it was later largely replaced by logarithmic grids across two or three tracks.
