Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001887
A mechanism within a downhole tool that allows fluid to flow around a restricted section or through an alternative path when a certain pressure differential is reached. This feature is often used in tools like packers or circulating subs to equalize pressure, prevent swabbing, or enable fluid circulation above or below the tool.
