Hydraulic cement

A powdered material that, when mixed with water, forms a slurry that hardens and sets due to chemical reactions, even underwater. In drilling, it is primarily used for cementing casing strings in the wellbore to provide zonal isolation and support. Portland cement is the most common type of hydraulic cement used in oil and gas operations.
