Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-001889
A centralizer fitted to a coiled tubing or wireline tool string that is engaged by raising fluid pressure, which pushes its arms outward against the tubing or casing wall to hold the string near the center of the bore. It is built to pass through production tubing. The mechanical bow-spring centralizer is the alternative that stays extended by spring force alone.
