Mill shoe

A heavy-duty, abrasive bottom-hole assembly component used to grind up junk, cement, or other obstructions in the wellbore. It features carbide inserts or other hard-facing materials on its cutting surfaces. Mill shoes are typically run on drill pipe or tubing and rotated to mill away the obstruction.
