Casing shoe test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-000577
A pressure test performed after cementing a casing string to evaluate the integrity of the cement bond and the formation directly below the casing shoe. Fluid is pumped into the casing to a predetermined pressure, which is then held for a specified period. This test confirms that the wellbore can withstand subsequent drilling operations without fracturing the formation.
