Pressure integrity test
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002920
A test performed after cementing a casing string to verify the strength of the cement bond and the formation directly below the casing shoe. Drilling fluid is pumped into the well to a predetermined pressure, which is then held for a set period to check for leaks or pressure drops. This test confirms the wellbore's ability to withstand anticipated downhole pressures.
