Perforated liner

Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-002736

A section of casing or tubing that has holes pre-drilled or punched in it before being lowered into a well. It is installed across a reservoir interval, providing structural support to the open borehole while allowing formation fluids to enter the well. Unlike a cemented and perforated casing, a perforated liner is not cemented in place, making it a completion method for unconsolidated or naturally fractured formations.
