Tieback liner

A string of casing or liner that extends from the top of an existing liner up to the surface or to a higher casing string, providing pressure integrity and isolation. It is used to repair damaged casing, extend a liner to a shallower depth, or provide an additional barrier. The tieback liner is typically cemented in place.
