Pilot test

A small-scale laboratory experiment conducted to evaluate the performance of drilling fluid additives or formulations before full-scale application. This test assesses properties such as viscosity, fluid loss, and rheology under simulated downhole conditions. Results from a pilot test guide the selection and concentration of chemicals for the actual drilling operation.
