Rock properties
Term · Oil and gas · MLC-T-OAG-003181
The physical characteristics of reservoir rocks that influence their ability to store and transmit fluids, such as porosity, permeability, and compressibility. These properties are measured from core samples, well logs, and seismic data. They are fundamental inputs for reservoir characterization and simulation studies to predict hydrocarbon recovery.
